Hi Don,

I am wondering if you will help me to develop a quick curriculum for myself. I know you have intentions to retire soon and so I would need to make the most of time time I have left with you.  I want to use your books and slopers to make patterns for her. (My dolly model)

It would be sooo lovable to be start making patterns and clothing for her ( My little sweety :)

and then eventually ladies like her (I don't know this pretty lady)
I would  also love to be able to make full body mannequins for all of these lovely people..and dolls.
I am already enrolled in your Introduction to pattern design class. I am also enrolled in your bodice sloper class. :) I am thinking to buy your 18 inch doll slopers and enroll in your other courses but I don't know where to start or where to focus my efforts to accomplish my goals.  I know time is running out and I have sew much respect for you. Will you please help me? Thanks sew much for reading this :) Take Care!

Hoping to measure up....

Hey All! Hi me :) I think I am the only one reading this any way but that's cool. I should have some company soon because I have a dilemma. Welcome fellow group members! Thanks sew much for popping over! :)  I don't think I know how to use a scaled ruler. See I don't even know what to call the procedure, if it is a procedure. Anyways I  have to divide the distance 4 7/8 in thirds. I have a 1/3 scale ruler and things aren't measuring up. :/

I have to measure from one side seam to the other
So this is how I started. I got  the original 4 7/8 measurement from a regular ruler and then I lined my 1/3 scale ruler up to do my...doing...

I found 4 7/8 on my  1/3 scale ruler...and marked...

I then lined up at that first mark, measured 4 7/8 again and marked...but that's not divided in half...or is it??....anyways.. onto the THIRD divide!

Lined up...and marked again. There it is 4 7/8 divided into thirds! :) Right? :/

It doesn't look right. My lines were suppose to fall within the side seam lines. I don't think I did it right. I can hardly wait to find out what I did wrong :)

Take wonderful care everyone!!! :) Thanks sew much for your help :)

Hey Everyone:) I hope you all are well:) I am Sewwonderfulandfullofwonder.

I want to share a little project with you..Well, a picture of it.  Meet Laughy and Taffy! They are a couple of little characters that I made from recycled caps off of beverage containers. I hope to post more tutorials soon, God willing:)  but I think this picture speaks for itself. I would add, that you should sand the area that you will be adding the eyes. It helps the glue to stick:) Originally I was saving the caps to make rings. I probably will make the rings one day God willing but for now, we are having fun with these Laughy Loopies:)
 Take Care!
Peace!
